Hi all,

Having problems at the moment with COD multiplayer.

We have 2 computers in the house, connecting to the internet using a Netgear router. The router is plugged into our cable modem.

Both computers can connect to seperate servers in COD. But when me and my mate try and play on the same server, one of us always gets "awaiting gamestate" while the other one gets in.

Any ideas what we need to change? As we would both like to be able to play together in the same game.

We are both behind firewalls on our computers too.

Many thanks in advance for any ideas/help anyone can offer...

Oh... have contacted Netgear and the Server Administrators but they both want to send me back to each other all the time. And neither one seems to know...

Try turning off your firewalls and see if that makes a difference.

You will need two differnet CD keys in order for you two to play together. And dont try using a Keygen, since before you connect to the game server you connect to a CD Key server that checks to make sure that the CD key is legit. Hope that this helps.

you can play on a local lan, not connected to the internet, however if you want a public server buy the game. chances are the keys you will get are probably banned by punkbuster. Even after that you would still have to run your server without pb enabled, something I would not recomend at all. cheaters love servers that don't use punkbuster... if all you want is some local action, then you should be ok.
