I first installed mcafee a week or two ago(?), then got it all working a day or two later. I need to restart my computer now for updates to complete. If you mean like yesterday, no, i didnt even touch Mcafee.

Well,the problem we have is all the AVs on the machine.

If you plan on keeping mcafee then the others need to go first then mcafee needs to be reinstalled fresh.

It has many registry entries running at boot which shouldnt be there.

I have to suspect between AVG and Symantec this is where the issue starts.

Have you the resources to fully remove your old Symantec and AVG programs?

I should have the resources to remove Symantic Norton, but i fret to part with my dear AVG free.
Symantic Norton is the one preinstalled and its months behind on updates. I'll willingly do that, but I would like to keep AVF free and Mcafee if possable.
