Ok... I have read another post about this on the forum, but it doesnt seem to be the same issues I am having.

I ran Microsoft Anti Spyware and i keep getting 50+ signatures of iSearch. Desktop Search along with other crapware....

I now run AdAware SE, Hijack this and Spybot Search and Destroy....

Now... this friggin thing is closing down programs as soon as I open them, and It wouldnt let me open my TDS-3 or Hijack this.... Along with my Task Manager and other things... So i got a program called "Security Task manager" which is essentially a task manager that checks for evil processes running.

I used that and shut down 2 "high-risk" processes, then I was able to run Hi-jack this and I got the following log...

Run Hijack This again and put check marks next to them.

Reboot into safe mode and make sure all folders are showing and delete these files:

C:\WINDOWS\isrvs<<whole folder
msnpg.exe
ciscv.exe

Clean out your temp. files.

Please run a free online virus scan here (tick the "Auto Clean" checkbox):

And a free trojan scan here:
http://www.moosoft.com/

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and we'll remove what's left.

Oh My...

Sure enough.... Shortly after i posted that log.... the computer went on me again...

Terrible...

Looks like i'll be starting the fixing process all over again, but i will also get rid of those added things u posted the second time...

That is, of course, if i could get Hijackthis to run... it would like start... and then turn off immediately... and I was offline...

Weird...

Hi There.

I have the same problem and this is making me really MAD!

Try the following:

Seach for SVKP.SYS and delete it

In the Registery, Delete the SVKP folder and the Legacy_SVKP ( Note that u need to modify the properties of these folders to be able to remove them)

Search in the C:\ for the followings:

Setup.exe and Dresse.* ( They should be newly created )

Most important that u should DISABLE SYSTEM RESTORE

Also in the registery, search for and delete URLSEARCHHOOKS.

That is all i could figure out till the moment. Norton, Macafe, trend Micro and others didnt detect this virus until now! So we need to cooperate to control it.

Any new Ideas Guys?

Regards,
Lucky

Pleased to hear that the problem is solved. but be careful because the worm may come back again.

The good news is that Norton updated its virus definition today and it can detect the worm as W32.Randex

So my advise is to update norton antivirus definitions and to run a full system scan in safe mode.

That is for now.

if any thing new takes action please let me know

Regards,
Lucky :tazz:

Is that your entire log?

You don't have any anti-viral on your machine, do you? You need to get some right away, or we will have wasted our time. Get a free one if you don't want to buy one. Grisoft is a good free anti-viral.

Run Hijack This and check this one.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ffis] C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\ffisearch.exe

Reboot and find this file:

C:\WINDOWS\isrvs<<Delete the entire folder.

Clean out your temp. files.

Run a free anti-viral scan from housecall or panda.

Reboot and post a new log.

Sorry to hear about it. ;)

* Download and install the trial version of ewido security suite from http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
* After it is installed, there should be a icon for ewido on your desktop. Double-click it and run it.

* Please update ewido:

o From the mail screen, click "update" in the bar at the left.
o Click "Start update" and download the latest updates.

* Run a scan and save a report:
o Click "scanner" on the bar at the left.
o Click "Start" to start the scan.
o Wait while it scans, when it finds something click "OK" to clean it.
o When the scan is finished, there will be a button at the bottom to save the report. Click the button and save the report to your desktop.

Reboot and post a new HijackThis log as well as the Ewido log. :tazz:
(thanks to dknoppix for the fix. ;)
