Instant net crash

My problem is that whenever i am using the net it works fine but sometimes it just stops working altogether instantly with no visible reason. I first thought it waz my ISP but i recently changed my isp and i am still recieving this problem. I dont know what to do. I have a 3 mbps connection and i host online games sometimes in the middle i just lose conectivity and ruin the game for everyone. After i release dns and ip and renew it works again but already ruins my game. i dont know what to do i have spy emergency 2006 fully updated and avg free edition but i fully scanned it but still the same problem. I dont know what to do.

Another though i had was maybe it was because i download too much but fro the past 2 days i stop downloading torrents alltogether and still no improvement. I am very confused and dont know what to do someone pleez help.!!
