I saw this in an ad and i am having problems installing service pack 2 so i was wondering if it would help fix my problem, i am running windows XP home edition. I got the service pack 2 CD but when i try to install it it says some files couldnt be installed or they are missing, something like that, i havnt tried installing it for a while since i got fed up with trying to fix it. but can anyone tell me about this site?

Thank you

Hi LoveFish. The problem for you is that Windows Live OneCare won't install if you don't already have SP2 installed, so there's no way it could help you on that score.

All I can suggest is make sure you disable your AV on-access protection before trying to install SP2. If you already did that, then you could have a virus infection which your AV program has not detected. Make sure it's updated and scan the whole system again. No single AV solution can find them all however, so a 'second opinion' from a different AV program is a good idea, or use one of the free 'online' scanners:
