Hi There

Very new to this web-based help so please excuse any errors made in my newness.

My Xp home PC has sudenly started alerting me to an error message when I close down the 'My Computer' window.
message reads as follows:-

Proxy Desktop: Explorer Exe. Application Error
Instruction at 0x01523795 frerence memory at 0x000ef4658 could not be read.

I have to click on the close button and it then goes until I open My Computer again.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi PGosbee
Can you try this for me.
Right click On start click on explore
Tools > Folder Options > View > please untick Launch folder windows in a separate process - and see if that helps.
