I RAN AVAST VIRUS SCAN THIS A.M. AFTER STARTING SCAN I LEFT ROOM TO LET SCAN RUN WHILE I DID OTHER THINGS. WHEN I RETURNED AFTER APPROPRIATE TIME HAD ELAPSED THE SCAN HAD SHUT OFF. ALL ALONG MY TASKBAR THERE APPEARED APPROXIMATELY 10 INTERNET EXPLORER ICONS AND AT THE TOP OF WINDOW ON LEFT HAND SIDE THE MESSAGE READ "CANNOT FIND SERVER". JUST WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED. PLEASE NOTE THAT I WAS NOT CONNECTED TO INTERNET AT THE TIME. I RE-BOOTED AND ALL SEEMED RIGHT AFTER COMPLETE STARTUP HAD COMPLETED. PLEASE ADVISE.

PLEASE STOP TYPING IN ALL CAPS.

I would say you have a piece of spyware that was attempting to grab ads from the Internet, but could not since you were not connected.
