Hi folks-
I'm trying to install a program that will let me view truck-driver safety info. I'm running it on other PC's here. (All our PC's are on Windows XP Pro w/ SP2).

2 of the PC's give me an error "ActiveX componenet can't create object (429)" when I click on the shortcut to the executable. The company that released the program says they've never seen this, and as I said, it is running smoothly on other PC's here.
Someone suggested that it is a glitch in a Windows .DLL. I am stumped...any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Did you restart your PC after installing the program? A lot of times a restart will take care of this error message.

Yes, I re-booted. Also, at the suggestion of the software authors, I un-installed it and re-installed it. Re-booted again. Same "429" error.

I'm stumped.
