Hi, a friend of mine recently gave me a XP to install. He said that it has been modified in some way so make running smoother. Well a few days ago this message keeps poping up notifying me to make my XP version real... It is a logo of a blue star with a white line on the top left corner. Please help me get rid of it as it is starting to bug me. thanx

easiest way to fix this would be to actually BUY your OS....you can find LEGAL versions of xp for less that $200 now adays...

by your own admission...you're running pirated windows...so we cannot help you any further
