I followed your instructions and booted from the cd.
However, after pressing f-8 to agree, up Comes a screen showing that partitions are set up and the only options are to enter to install, d to delete partition or f3 to quit.
What should I do next?

Microsoft were of NO help on the phone insisting that they no longer support xp.
I had to reinstall the lot!
Am now taking a great interest in Linux,specifically Nadia 14.

I don't have a Windows XP CD, windows came pre-installed.
So what do I do?
The restore will not work nor my restore CD.

What is the brand make and model of your system and we can see if your recovery partition will allow for a non destructive recovery.
