Alright, Ive been having an audio problem for a good while now. It would fluctuate in and out, working and not. So I looked online, and finally apparently it was just a missing file for Soundblaster live 5.1. And now a new problem has arisen, After going a week without any sound, all the sudden my comouter says:

NEW HARDWARE DETECTED!:

Multimedia Audio Controller

PCI input Device

I tried installing them but it wont let me, i tried updating them from the device manager, but still no go. and so I guess i need to find some software on the net that can install these. Atleast my computer finally knows that they are there. So i guess im on the right track, any help would be appreciated.

Download the driver package for the SB Live soundcard if you don't have the SB installation CD, from here:
http://www.creative....pport/downloads

Cancel the Windows "New hardware found" wizard next time it pops up, and don't try using the driver update in Device manager.

Run the installation file you downloaded.

yeah...sorry I panicked and just went alittle crazy there.

I just recently found the Instillation CD and gave it a full instal but it still doesnt produce any sound. Also, in device manager those 2 items still have a Exclamation point on them.

But I thank you dearly for replying to this regardless of my insanity.
