LCD Monitor goes white...

I have a old dell LCD monitor that the whole screen goes white every now and then. Usually a restart brings it back to normal, but last night it stayed white even after restarting several times. When I tried to access the LCD's menu, nothing shows up, the screen is just white. I plugged it into a another computer and it was still white, so its definitely something wrong with the LCD monitor. But then later it started working again. Is it something that can be fixed? or is it dying?
