OK, this is going to seem really petty compared to most of the posts here but the huge flashing green power light when my new Compaq Presario SR2032X goes into standby mode drives my neurotic dog into a flurry of barking and whining. I'm hoping that contrary to what HP tech support told me, there's a relatively easy way to change the flashing light to a steady amber light or no light in standby like my old HP. I looked in the power management settings in the BIOS and didn't find anything. Will I have to resort to a piece of duct tape over, what I have to admit is an obnoxiously bright flashing green light? Would it be hard to open the case up and disconnect the light? I have to start messing with the insides if there's a simple workaround. Thanks in advance if you have any ideas.
