That still doesn't look right. Did you cut off the bottom part or ran the right version? I can fix it, but if you didn't post the entire log, the infections will just come back.

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Hi,
Thanks so much for the comprehensive solution. I checked and yeap I'm using v 1.99.1 and I'm pretty sure nothing got left out from the logfile in notepad.
However, I still get the flashing stop sign in my notification area and the occasional system warning window popping up.
This is my current logfile after the remedies u suggested:

Hi,

Thanks again for all your help.

I deleted that folder. Erm the flashing thingy is still that and periodic windows keep popping up saying my computer is slowed by something, has a virus or is infected with spyware.

Other than that my comp seems to be running fine though..... Is there no way to remove this?

Tehre are a few more things we can try.

Download the free VX2 Cleaner here[list]
Close Ad-Aware SE build 1.05 and Ad-Watch (if running)
Install the VX2 Cleaner
Start Ad-Aware SE build 1.05
Go to “Plug-ins”
Select the VX2 Cleaner plug-in and click “Run Plugin”
If your computer isn't infected, click "close"
If your computer is infected:[list]
Select “Clean System”
Reboot your computer
Scan your computer with Ad-Aware
Remove any VX2 objects detected
Reboot your computer again
Run a second scan to make sure the files have been removed from your computer

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

(Windows XP)
1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Now, run the cleaner, adaware and empty your temp. files. Let me know how it's running.
