Moniter is Blank

When my moniter is plugged into my compaq the screen is blank. The light next to the power button goes from a pale green to orange and the screen is blank. When i plug it into my laptop it works perfectly. Plz help i have no idea whta to do !!! :whistling:

there is most likely something wrong with the pc. my first thought would be RAM just because that happens to me alot.

When you first start the computer, do you hear any beeps, or the Windows startup sounds?
