unfortunately....with cygwin being an advanced utility...(and thereby not designed for the non advanced....not taking a crack at you....the software is designed for a specific set of abilities)...that's pretty much the uninstall process...i'll see if anyone has more experience with it than myself that might be able to help

Why are you so unwilling to edit the registry? Is this your pc? If you won't follow either one of those instructions then the only thing left is to format and reload your system.
