I am having a horrible time with popups. I have run adaware several times and there has been no change with my computer. I have seen many processes that are new, and I just don't know which ones are causing problems. I ran HiJackThis and this is the logfile that came with it.

Welcome johnnyboy84 to Geeks to Go!

I recommend you print this advice. In safe mode you will not have this page available.

***

Download CleanUp!.
Don't run the program, we'll do that later.

***

HijackThis is being run from a temporary folder; this means that any backups it creates as a result of fixes made with it will be lost. Please create a new folder for it and place the program into that new folder.

***

Download EliteToolbar removal.
Unzip the files to a convenient folder.
Reboot your machine in Safe Mode (just click onto F8 key the same moment the pc is starting, before the MS Windows flag screen) and run the EliteToolbar Remover, then click the "Kill Elite Toolbar" button and wait until it will finish its work.

***

Still in save mode, open HijackThis from within it's own folder.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

O2 - BHO: &EliteBar - {28CAEFF3-0F18-4036-B504-51D73BD81ABC} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {ED103D9F-3070-4580-AB1E-E5C179C1AE41} - (no file)

O3 - Toolbar: &EliteBar - {825CF5BD-8862-4430-B771-0C15C5CA8DEF} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [antiware] C:\windows\system32\elitesiu32.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [CPQHotkeys] hotkeysvc.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\RunServices: [CPQHotkeys] hotkeysvc.exe

O16 - DPF: {15AD6789-CDB4-47E1-A9DA-992EE8E6BAD6} -
http://static.windup.../bridge-c11.cab

O16 - DPF: {1D6711C8-7154-40BB-8380-3DEA45B69CBF} (Web P2P Installer) -

O16 - DPF: {289BE149-73D8-4EE3-B3AC-34634FBE4A37} (BIS_SurfCtlV1 Class) - http://brightideasso...ads/BIS_Web.cab

O16 - DPF: {C1C2AC28-5E4B-4228-B7A0-05E986FFCE14} - http://go-in-now.com/tl4000.dll

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

***

Find and doubleclick the file cleanup312.exe.

Go to option
Select ‘custom’
Put a check to:* Temp
* All users.
Press 'cleanup!'

Once it's done, decline to log off. We will reboot.

***

As I said, reboot into normal mode.

***

Please do an online scan, 2 would be better,

Trend Micro Housecall
Panda online scan

Make sure that you choose "fix" or "clean".

***

Reboot again.

Post back with a fresh log using HijackThis. Let me know how things went.

Weldone, we're almost there.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

O16 - DPF: {15AD6789-CDB4-47E1-A9DA-992EE8E6BAD6} - http://static.windup.../bridge-c11.cab

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Reboot your computer.

***

Go to start – my computer - C: Drive
Rightclick the symbol representing your c:drive.
Go to properties.
Go to general.
Press the button "Disk Cleanup".
Make sure these items are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files/tijdelijke internet bestanden
Recycle Bin/prullenbak

Press OK.

***

Let's check one more time to be sure.

Post a fresh log using HijackThis here in your answer.

By the way, did Trend Micro Housecall and/or Panda online scan find anything?
