I have just uninstalled NortonAV and replaced it with AVG. After re-starting my WindowsXP "Security Centre" stopped and I cannot get it to go despite following instructions (re-start again, open Control Panel, click Security Centre).

Can you help?

Go to START-->RUN and type services.msc. In the new window that appears, scroll down the list until you see SECURITY CENTER. Double-click on it to bring up it's properties window. In this window, make sure the STARTUP TYPE is set to Automatic and click the START button. Hit APPLY and OK and reboot your computer. Once your computer is rebooted, try going back into Security Center.
