hello there ,

i have a new computer and have set up a guest account. my main account has internet access and i have installed internet access on the guest account and wne it asks for a administratoe password i put it in and it accepts it. but everytime i log off or switch users the guest account losses internet access and when i click on the dial up icon it produces a message that says somthing about a RAS not found or avaliable. dioes anyone know if i will always have to install the software everytime i let someone use the account. ?

When you installed your operating system - did you set it up so that it assumes only you (the administrator) uses the computer, or did you select the multi-user option?

RAS is Remote Access Services - one component of internet access.

You shouldn't have to install components all the while for new users - I'm not an expert on such matter, but that's why I asked whether it was set up assuming just you used the computer - may have something to do with it?
