i`ve recently added a upgrade from ie6 to ie7 ,seemed to work fine for a couple of days but now it as the start bar made different.some of the icons don`t show(internet icon)and my sound icon is gone and i don`t have any sound .the colour on the start bar changes colour from blue to beige.this happens when i try and hook up to the internet.even though the internet icon don`t show i can still connect to the internet.i`ve did a complete virus scan, disk check,ad-aware check and everything seems to be ok.any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do a system restore -- select the date/restore point which says "installed IE7" or any restore point just before that. You could alternatively remove IE7 through 'Add/Remove Programs' (with 'show updates' checked) but that's unlikely to correct the damage it may have done to your system files. So system restore is the best way to go.
