My notebook won't switch off, restore windows or do any other [bleep] thing! I have a black screen with a white cursor flashing top left... tried Ctrl alt del, esc, still nothing... unplugged it but it is running on battery and i can't do anything else with it because i'm computer illiterate, anyone willing to help? Thanks!

thanks for replying! It sorted itself out actually. Battery ran out! I never really know what to do when things stop working, maybe I'll enrol in a computer awareness course! Cheers!
