Hi there. Working on friend's pc. Dell Dimension 3000. Windows XP. 512 RAM. He said it was slow and had problem connecting to internet. When I got it, it would go to blue screen as soon as you get into windows. Created new account and was able to get AVG loaded in windows and ran it. It found 201 threats and deleted 199 (I think it's in the vault). Reboot and still get blue screen. Now can't stay in windows. Can go to safe mode. The Stop error has this code: 0x0000008e (0xc0000005, 0x82b7c7e2, 0xeea106c8, 0x00000000). The hex code in the middle changes with each reboot. I tried each 256 RAM separately and rebooted. Errors with each. I'm thinking the device drivers are damaged and that the PC needs re-imaging. And he forgot to bring me all his software. What's a girl to do? What do you think?
