Hi I have the AVG free version but it will be expiring in January. Is anyone here aware of a replacement or another anti virus program available for free?

Yes if I am not mistaken AVG is not going to stop giving free virus scan. It might not be as good as the paid version but it's decent.

I would honestly recommend you pay and get NOD32. It is by far the best virus scan on the market!

If you were to go the paid route, I would say NOD32 or Kaspersky.
