ok
so who sends the updates for firefox
or when you purchase a computer is it all firefox installments no microsoft at all
this computers history
this computer is a refurbished one and it has new harddrive
but the harddrive was reformatted for a mistake on my part
the computer name was suppose to show as my wifes name
she wanted it to show as her the owner no big deal for me
this was after windows xp pro sp2 was installed so i figured it should be to much to change
consulted with the tech who installed windows
he said to change name in user account but that was not what we wanted
so i consulted here at geeks and was told to go to my computer andright click then manage and change name there under my folder after a restart well you could say i busted windows
and i got it reformatted
so i never had a virus
trend is the virus program
spy bot search and destroy is the spyware program
the reason to have a good clean install of ie7 is because i have another computer
its brand new s752n hp pavillion slim line
and want to have all the updates including ie7
its never been used or updated so trying deal with any issues before i update that one

got to go, be back in a couple of hours:
go to C:\WINDOWS\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe
P.S. ie7 is a hidden folder, you've got to check "show hidden files and folders" in folder options

no, its there but somethings wrong for it came up as invalid batch file.
Do you have winrar? if so then extract the files from your installation file, then copy spuninst.exe to your C:\WINDOWS\ie7\spuninst\ folder, dont use a command prompt just do it yourself and rename the old spuninst (if any) to spuninst.exe.old then try running it, NOT from a command prompt, just click on the file.

If that does not work then run iesetup.exe from the update folder of the extracted files, tell me if that works.
