tried and same thing happens

so i called the store where it was reformatted

they said it was genuine copy of windows xp pro

told them that ie7 would not install although every other update would install

including microsoft office 2003 updates

so they are going to do another reformatt and make sure ie7 installs properly

so thanks for your help you offered me ......................OCM770-

Oh well, why don;t you just do the reformat, you are a know member of GTG and i guess you DO have the expertise to do that by yourself....
