Is unregistered RC1 key ok to use on RC2

I just got my product key for RC1, but I will be using it on RC2. But I like to know if it's OK to use RC1 product key on RC2; eventhough, I didn't install or register product key using RC1? Or do I have go through the trouble of installing RC1, register key, install RC2 and re-register key.
