first of all. i want to thank you guys for the incredible help you provide on this forum. my god, you guys are lifesavers.

ok. heres my problem. i get a popup that seems to be on a timer because it pops up about every 5 minutes. It tells me i am infected with spyware and need to go download their spyware removal tools. it will then popup a new browser window (my default browser mozilla) and it goes to http://www.hotoffers.info
now, i am also running into the problem of internet explorers default homepage will not change from hotoffers.info. i ran all of the applicable things in your 5 step help post. but, i am still not getting any resolution to the problem. i am unable to install service pack 2 at the moment, because i havent resolved this spyware and malware problem.

i got hijackthis and here is my log file. if there is any other file stuff you need from me, i would be more than happy to hook it up.

thank you!
