Hi everyone, ok, I have windows XP home edition, and lately I've noticed in task manager that when I try to close programs that froze, they stay in the processes tab and take up RAM. I then try to end the processes in that tab, but after I press ok, nothing happens, the process is still there and is taking up an unchanging amount of RAM. What can i do to end these processes and free up my RAM?

Try Process Explorer: http://www.microsoft...ssExplorer.mspx

Then get back to "us."

Which processes are "freezing"? Have a look in the event logs to see if there are any errors coinciding with the freezes.
