please help. it had windows 98

start computer
tap the "F8 key" or the Ctrl key continuously until you get the startup menu .
If done properly you should get into the "Windows 98 Startup Menu
choose
safe mode command prompt only
type
scandisk c:\
to restore the registry at the command prompt type
scanreg /restore
choose a date to restore to
this will restore an earlier version of your registry. Once completed,
reboot the computer and this should resolve any issues that
may have occurred with your registry.
