how do i get rid of configfree and start using the windows wireless

I assume that you are refering to Toshiba's Configfree wireless software. You can go to add/remove programs and uninstall that. However you might loose your wireless card driver in the process.

that is what happened so i jsut reformated and chose to uninstall config free this time aroiund before i used it so its all good now. and do you know what the best free antivirus/firewall is

Kerio gets the nod for best firewall followed by zone alarm. For antivirus I like avast.
