Lighting struck awhile back and burnt the cpu since then nothing but problems.
Bought a new cpu, harddrive and motherboard and things are no better.
I put the xp setup disk in and it won't get past the ACPI embedded controller driver.
The error reads: File acpic.sys (32768) line 5897 d:\xpsp1\base\boot\setup\setup.c.
floppy drive a stick of memory and two cd burners are the only things that haven't been changed out.
I'm sure its something simple, but it eludes me. Any help could keep me from throwing this thing
over the fence.
