*** Before we can use Hijack This to fix anything, I need you to download it again. Right now you have it in a temporary folder. It will not function properly that way. Please redownload it like so:

Please do this:

* Click here to download HJTsetup.exe

• Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
• Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
• Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
• Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
• Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
• At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
• Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
• Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
• DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

* Also open Hijack This and click on the "Open the Misc Tools section" button. Click on the "Open Uninstall Manager" button. Click the "Save List" button. After you click the "Save List" button, you will be asked where to save the file. Pick a place to save it then the list should open in notepad. Copy and paste that list here.

I see parts of Mcafee antivirus in your log, but I don't see it running or in your Add/Remove programs list. This leads me to belive that you have no antivirus running at all. If this is the case and if I may so this without being rude, with the net as it is these days it is quite foolish to be without an antivirus.

If you have no antivirus installed, go here to download and install the free version of AVG. Install it and update the virus definitons. Make sure that all active protection is enabled.

The McAfe must have been a mistake. I was having trouble with it online, and couldn't visit any websites. I got a friend to disable that part of the AV. Well so I thought! He's going to get an ear full when I see him
It points out SGLAC as a possible virus. It's used by thousands of people for online gaming and its an anti-cheat. It works by taking pictures of whatever is on your screen and uploading them onto the site. I dont think it's a problem, but your the expert!

* Click here for info on how to boot to safe mode if you don't already know how.


* Now copy these instructions to notepad and save them to your desktop. You will need them to refer to.


* Restart your computer into safe mode now. Perform the following steps in safe mode:


* Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.

• Put a tick by Standard File Kill.
• In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each of the following lines one at a time:

In my add/remove programs, I have BlueVoda. I deleteted some of it from my desktop, but it shows up as installed and will not be deleted. How can I delete it? Same goes with AOL. It shows on my desktop icons but not on add/remove programs. I do not use AOL as my Internet provider, I use BT. It was a free trial edition that came standard with my computer and I wish to erase all signs of it to be honest with you.

I dont think this is your area of specialty, but if you could help with this also, that would be wonderful.

You should be able to simply delete the AOL shortcuts from your desktop. If BlueVoda will not uninstall and you have already deleted the rest of the files, use the Hijack This Uninstall Manager to remove it from the Add/Remove programs list. Select the entry in the Uninstall Manager list then click the "Delete this entry" button.

How is everything now?
