I did something really, really stupid yesterday..I downloaded what was supposed to be a MySpace viewer and despite all of my security software's warning I bypassed everything because I trusted the source..
Now I am severely infected with several software programs and I can not get rid of them...they block any attempt to get to a "online scanner" or prevent it from running when I am able to get there...I went into safe mode and ran PC Cillins virus scanner which found and supposedly removed the software and then ran SpyCatcher which found the following and supposedly removed it but when I rebooted the problem was still there...but I am not sure what else may be on my system as well....

Windows Spy:

Windows Spy monitors a remote computer invisibly by streaming video to a viewer on your computer. You will know exactly what is happening on the remote computer as you see it in real-time. Some applications are: - Monitor your computer from a remote location. - Parents can monitor what their children are doing. - Demonstrate programs remotely. Windows Spy has two parts. A server that invisibly captures screen video and sends it to a remote viewer. The client (viewer) displays the video from the server. What makes Windows Spy different from other remote spy/control systems are: - The server can execute invisibly. - It doesn't require a video hook driver. - Windows Spy has a very low impact on system performance. - Windows Spy comes in a very small package, server 0.8 MB and client 1.4 MB. Windows Spy is Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP compatible. Windows Spy was previously named 'Windows Spy'.

VNC 3.3.3.
VNC is a remote display system that allows viewing a computing 'desktop' environment, not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the Internet and from a wide variety of architectures.

Spy Bouncer
My Internet Explorer (used for upgrades only) is hijacked by an ad for 'Spy Bouncer. I've tried everything I can think of (including running the endless list of anti-malware apps recommended here) and yet IE is _still_ hijacked by 'Spy Bouncer'.

Trojan.emcodec.b

Method of infection: This program masquerades as a video codec and must be downloaded and installed manually.
Advertising: The Emcodec.B Trojan may download and install various adware.
Security issues: Trojan.emCodec.B is designed to silently download and install software; as such, it presents a serious security risk

Hack You

Hack You is Trojan which is malware.
Installing it is highly not recommended.

I am now running Microsoft's One Care scanner to try and resolve this but if this does not work I do not know what to do.......

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.thespykil...=tpmod;dl=item5
Scroll down to the download section

Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.

Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Okay, downloaded this software and getting ready to run it...I will post the info as soon as it is done....Thank you so much....I know now that there is "win32/zlob.gen" on my system....Microsoft's OneCare took literally hours to scan my system and could not remove what it found...I crashed last night while it was running and just woke up...

Add remove programs - remove logitech desktop messenger

You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a NotePad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual account.
Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted: "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.

A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply along with a new hijack log.

The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Warning: running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.

Whew...Okay here is the new HijackThis log and the Smithfraud log. I think that something I did yesterday may have cleaned the major infections but for the Logitech Messenger that you had me delete, so hopefully now it is totally cleaned...
