I used Nero Vision to convert an avi file to DVD format but, no matter what screen ratio (4:3, 16:9 etc) I specify prior to burning, the burned DVD always plays in letterbox format, even on a widescreen TV. How do I get the image to fill the screen? Changing the TV settings doesn't make any difference

Does the avi file itself have a letter box format or a wide resolution, if so it will be burned and/or deciphered by the player into letter box in order to keep the aspect right and you dont end up with alot of tall skinny people.
