I want to replace the DVD-ROM on my circa 2001 PC with a DVD-R-RW. What do I need to
know to choose one that is compatible with my machine?

This is what I have now:

Would I be able to replace it with any of these?

If not, suggestions please?

Thanks!

Yes either of those two can take the place of the current DVD-Rom.
