generic host process/svchost problem

Everytime I login I get a popup error, a log entry and several automatic services are dropped, i can't find any help anywhere, please help.

Automatic services stopped:

Application Experience Lookup service
Automatic updates
Cryptographic services
Distributed link tracking client
logical disk manager
Secondary logon
Shell hardware detection
Workstation

popup message:
Generic Host Process for Win32 Services encountered a problem and needed to close.

Application log:
Faulting application svchost.exe, version 5.2.3790.1830, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x85d18b6f.
