OK, so my laptop crashed (NEC Versa E400), and so my sister used these back up cds from an acer computer, and now its worse, when you turn it on it goes to this page that asks you if you want to start up in safe mode, safe mode with network and start normally. When ever I select any one of these the computer freezes. The only thing I can do is press f2 when it starts up, and I don't know what to do from there on. Please someone help me...

Cheers.

Backup CDs are unique to a computer type. You can't use other CDs on your hardware. What you need to do, is find the backup CDs for ther NEC, or find a Windows install CD. If you use a Windows CD to reinstall, it is very important that you use the Windows XP product key printed on your specific laptop.
