Hi,

I'm new here and realize that this topic may have been asked before, but
how do you get your hardrive using XP from a Dell Deminsion XPS T450
pentium III to boot up in an OptiPlex GX110 pentium III.

there are a few issues with this...but...it can be done

for the physical side..you would just take the "old" hard drive and hook it up in the "new" computer as the master...making sure that it's jumpered as master...and on the end of the IDE cable...

the problem here is that XP is VERY picky about changing hardware platforms (i.e. motherboards)....you can't simply pull an HD out of one box and have it actually BOOT to XP cleanly on another box...you would have to IMMEDIATELY (i.e. on first boot) run your XP cd...and preform an os repair installation to get it to work properly...

what exactly are you trying to do?
