I have an IBM T40 Laptop. 1.6Ghz, 1GB ram, 80GB hd and a 32meg radeon 9000 vid card. I now know that the vid card is fully integraded and cannot be upgraded at all. I also know that there is no bios setting to share system memory with the card. With that being said, is there any sort of Windows registry setting (XP) or software or system edit of any kind that will allow me to use some of my 1GB of system ram and dedicate it to video?? I'm running out of options other than getting a whole new laptop which I don't want to do. Any ideas?

no...not if I understand you correctly. You want to watch videos or edit them?

no, this has nothing to do with watching video's or editing them..that i can do fine. I simply want to upgrade the video card, which physically can't be done and there is no bios setting to share some of the ram... this would be primarily for gaming. I was wondering if there is any way in the windows xp registry or any other known way that some of the system ram can be alotted or dedicated to the video card? is this possible and if so, how?
