First off, if this is in the wrong forum please redirect me.

I have just been trying to import my wife's Outlook files from her old machine to her new one, using a memory stick. However her new machine now shows removable drives F, G, H, I, J and K. J is the only valid one, the rest are all ghosts. The odd thing is we had this on her old machine too, and so do my kids on theirs. I tried Googling, assuming this was a common problem, since we have it on 3 out of four computers, but found nothing. Does anyone have any ideas?

Whenever you hook up an external drive of any kind you will find a "remove hardware safely" icon in your taskbar. Click on it before unhooking the new device and that problem should not reoccur.
