Hi.

I recently got a trojan from a group called OuterOffice or something and pop-ups were flooding my desktop. I got help here at GeekstoGo and with SuperAnti SpyWare cleared the problem.

Since then, whenever I go to YouTube or other video sites (not the naughty ones, MPGs and WMVs seem to play fine =] ), I get either a blank screen or a message telling me to update to Flash 9.

Here's what YouTube tells me:

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest flash player. "

I've cleared the Jave cache, checked my security settings, cleared my cookies and all content, rebooted and even reinstalled both Flash and Java.

And yet I still get that message. Any ideas?

Did you download the upgraded Flash Player?

That may help.

Hi!

As I said, I reinstalled and used the newest Flashplayer...

BUT, I solved it myself: here's the odd solution that worked: I downloaded the "unistall Flash" module from the Flashsite. Rebooted the computer. And picked a random site that I knew had a Flash opening. IE then installed Flash for me and, for whatever reason, that fixes the issue.

Gotta love it.
