Can't get rid of removable drive that appears in My Computer drive

Hi there. In My Computer I am getting multiple listings for removable drives. This is a bit odd because I very very rarely have plugged a memory stick or camera usb into this computer. I do however have a laptop that is networked to this computer and i do use the usb ports in the lappy for memory stucks and the like.

When I try and double click on these phantom drives it says "Please insert disk into drive (whatever)".

I want to remove these pesky listings but don't know how. Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance.

I am figuring you have one of those 5-in-1 or 6-in-1 or 7-in-1 card readers on the front of your computer. That is why you have so many removable drives listed. This is normal and should stay listed.
