Russia has agreed to shut down Allofmp3.com and other music sites based in that country that the U.S. government says are offering downloads illegally.

http://arstechnica.c...61130-8330.html Allofmp3 say no, the agreement isn't law in Russia, the courts are the only ones that can pass a new law on the matter and you cant single out one company for it either.

Its actually the RIAA that is breaking the law in Russia the way it works is allofmp3 pay a Russian government organisation that is supposed to pay people the proceeds from use of their copyright directly so bands should get all the money from the royalties, however the RIAA doesn't allow members to register with the Russian organisation thus they cant receive any royalties. The RIAA dont allow this because it would do them out of a job the Russian method cuts out the middle man and the RIAA are middle men.
