Ok, thanks guys if you's have got this far, i re-installed window xp pro today, like i do every once and a while, but i forget how to get rid of the beep noise from the pc's inboard speaker.

Like when i open a app like text and then go to close it, a confirm box comes up to save like usual, but aswell as that annoying beep noise its horrid.

I thought i just had to go to run/regedit/hkey_current_user/control\sound\beep\no and it got rid of it.

But tryed and it did not work.

Please can i have your advice.

Thanks Calos

I would just disconnect the speaker from the motherboard.

I did what i said
run/regedit/hkey_current_user/control\sound\beep\no

and thought a restart would do it, and it did.

Thanks for the speedy reply
