Hi
I have just built a new pc and am wondering what I need to do before I switch it on and how do I set it up from the start.

Does anyone know of a good step by step guide on how to do this?

Also, I have installed a E6400 Duo Core processor and the fan seemed to already have some form of heat transfer goop on it already. Do I need to use heat paste?

Thanks
Arb

Build your PC, switch it on. Then install/repair XP. That is all. Seriously.

As to heatsink - if its got a thermal pad on it already, you don't need extra paste.
