Hello,

I've been using a dinosaur Novell network for years and it's finally kicked the bucket.

I have no idea cost wise or product wise what I should look for.

Any ideas out there?

Any comments would be appreciated!

Thanks! Have a great weekend!

Thats pretty open ended.

Starting point is to evaluate the uses for these systems to determine if a workgroup or domain set-up will be beneficial to you.

Then once you have a breakdown of what the systems will be used for, how they will connect within the network you can then evaluate your options as far as software is concerned.

Hi Jennifer
Are you currently using a Server or is one of the usersmachine beingused as a server.
Do you require each user to have files that only they can see or will everthing be opened.
If you need people to have limited access then you are best to go for a server program. You can run either a Liux server or Windows 2003.
Could you please give a bit more info on how your network runs now.
Cheers
Peterm
