My girlfriend uses a Promedion D470W laptop.

She can't use it anymore without the AC/Adapter, so I'm guessing the battery doesn't recharge anymore and needs to be replaced.

I have been searching my rear end off to find the correct type of battery, but I just can't find a definite answer.

On the components list from back when we bought it, it says "smart Li-Ion battery 8 cells 4400mAH"

Any help appreciated. Information about where I can buy/order in Europe gets bonus points. :whistling:

Thanks,

Hey Metallica

Check out THIS site for getting replacement power-related components for your girlfriend's laptop.

As a note, you don't have to buy it from there if you can find it cheaper, but at least it will give you the correct voltages that the battery needs to be so you know what to look for when looking for it cheaper elsewhere.

In my experience, atbatt.com is the cheapest that I have found for replacement laptop batteries, but if someone knows a cheaper site, then by all means please post it. :whistling:

I've never had to order one like that which you have ordered for your girlfriend's laptop, but it looks like it should plug in the same as the 20/24 pin connector on a desktop power supply plugs into a motherboard. But if you want, pop in chat and I'm sure someone will be able to help you if I happen to not be there. I will most likely be in the channel, just might not actually 'be there.'
