I use a software packages namely Charon. It is used for checking the anonymity of proxies. This has been working ok up to the past few days

When I double click on it to open. I get a message as follows

"Failed to connect to the website determining your ip". Therefore I cannot connect to the site which returns my ip. I can access the web via my browsers, my email and my newsgroup readers. I can also paste the address of the site which charon should access in my browser and it comes up. So the target site is not a problem

I have run avg virus scan, ad aware and spyware begone - nothing shows up.


I am beginning to think it may be a problem with the software and the ports it uses for access. Really puzzled as to why this software has stopped working.

I have attached my hijack this log on the off chance that someone may see something obvious.
