ok so yesterday when i tried to turn on my computer, everything was going fine until it logged my account on. after i was logged on it immediatly logged me off, and went back to the account selection. i tried logging on again, and the same thing happened. my computer was just fine the night before, and i had even recently run a spyware and virus check and both didnt find any problems. so then i did a full system restore (my computer has a dedicated hard drive for doing system restorees) and that worked for about a day. my computer was fine, no problems
but when i tried starting it up this morning, it did the same thing again. so this time i tried restoring it to an earlier checkpoint. but the only checkpoint was yesterday, all the others must hav been erased when i did the full system restore.
any suggestions?

i only hav one account on my computer

Click start, control panel, performance and maintenance, computer management

Click local users, double click your account, check it is a member of the administrators group

If it starts to your account from the restore point from yesterday, log on and set a restore point, do this for a few days

Do you have any programmes which clean the registry

Have you got any antispyware programes which report anything

alright ill try that
and i do hav a program that cleans the registry
i use "crap cleaner"
and my antispyware programs create reports after they run a scan

Leave the cleaner for a while, XP disc clean up should do most of it, especially if there aren't any particular problems

Check if any anti virus / antispyware programmes are removing anything

i tried restoring to the day before
(saturday)
and its still logging me off
i also tried restoring my registry because crap cleaner makes a back up when it cleans the registry, and that also didnt help.
any other ideas?
i could try doing a system restore using the discs i got with the computer
normally i just do it using the dedicated hard drive, so that way it baks up my files...but i think it might be one of the files thats causing it.

Is there a repair option with your recovery discs

a window pops up for just a second and then disappears again

Can you right click the taskbar, click task manager, click file, click new task, type sfc /scannow then press enter
