Basically I close my disk drive and it reopens. It closes after about 6 - 12 goes usually but its really annoying. Sometimes it opens during a game or other things.

Anyone know how to fix?

Cheers

1. Check for viruses - just to eliminate that possibility.

2. Upgrade the drivers.

3. Uninstall the unit in device manager, reboot and let the system reinstall it

4. Replace the unit - it sounds like the switch has become hyper sensitive.

Not really. You could move your machine to a place that's not so easy to reach. but that just makes things annoying.

You could get another drive if it really annoys you.

I don't hit it by mistake. Its when I want to put a disk in and close it, it takes ages.

Something to do with the latch?

The tray switch inside the unit, not the button on the outside.
